Engagement Session: Katelyn and Miles, Liberty, Missouri

I don’t think there’s any word that would better describe today’s e-session, and this couple, than “sweet”.  I love the soft light and the light spring colors.  These beautiful pics were taken by Morgan of Blue Ampersand Photography, and here’s her description of this e-session:

Miles & Katelyn met and fell in love in high school. Both grew up in Liberty, MO where their engagement photos were taken at Stocksdale Park.  They wanted a really “them” photo shoot. They took a lot of nature walks during their dating years and had a lot of picnics, so the e-session was really natural to them. Miles popped the question in Maryville last spring and she said “Yes”!

Midwest Engagement Session: Marcy and Nick

Marcy & Nick both grew up in small towns (they actually drove 2 hours from the town where Marcy grew up just for this engagement session).  They met and fell in love in Wichita, Kansas where Nick is a teacher and coach and Marcy is studying to be a Physician’s Assistant.  When Marcy graduates, they will be moving up here to Liberty to start their life together.  They wanted to incorporate both the “country” of their pasts and the “city” of their future together.  Beautiful pictures taken by Tricia of SNAP Photography.

Midwest Engagement Session: Megan and Jake

This is Jake and Megan. They have been inseparable since they met at a coffee shop years ago. Jake tried to propose to her at their favorite Christmas store in their hometown, but on their long road trip back home there was some unexpected stops. Their families were there waiting for them and he had to quickly improvise since the store was closed. Megan was extremely confused about everything that was going on , but when he finally popped the question she was ecstatic and had no idea it was coming!  These images were shot by Alea Lovely, whose amazing videography I’ve featured on the blog here and here.  Thanks for the pics Alea!

Midwest Engagement Session: Tianna and Dusty

I don’t think there would be any doubt looking at today’s engagement that it is uniquely midwest, and that’s what I love about it.  Kelsey of Stremel Photography captured some beautiful images of Tianna and Dusty out in the fields and on horse back, a setting they’re obviously right at home in.

Tianna and Dusty met while she was competing on the rodeo circuit against Dusty’s sister. After meeting several times at different events, the two bonded over their love of horses and rodeo. Tianna & Dusty had their beautiful son Brody in 2010 and also got engaged and planned a wedding! Their beautiful horseback engagement session was gorgeous. They wanted their session to be a reflection of them, and their lifestyle on the farm.

Midwest Engagement Session: Bethany and Steve

I thought with all the gloomy weather we’ve been having here in the midwest for the last couple of weeks, we could all use a little sunshine. Bethany and Steve’s engagement session, shot by Rachel of RPM Photography, is summery, and carefree, with beautiful glowing light.  Plus I love her adorable white polka dot dress, so fresh and fun!

Thanks again to Rachel for submitting these lovely shots (all taken in Lees Summit, Missouri).
