Hello, I’m Emily Walters, and I’m the writer and creator of Middle of the Map Weddings. A Kansas City based floral designer, I run my business emmy-ray from an in home design studio. 2011 will be my third year working in the industry, and my love for all things wedding inspired me to start this blog that’s all about unique, midwest style events. One of my favorite parts of working in this field, other than creating beautiful wedding events for my clients, is the spirit of collaboration that comes along with each wedding I work on. My hope is that Middle of the Map can be a resource for couples to find great wedding vendors, as well as a place for sharing inspiration and ideas, and a networking venue for wedding professionals throughout the midwest.

Excited to hear more about Middle of the Map WEddings! I really like the featured cake artist and the featured “vintage” inspired wedding. I am creating a “vintage” inspired ensemble of cakes for a wedding coming up on APRIL 9. A trend I am going to immerse myself in, wholeheartedly.
