For todays post, I’m happy to share the voice of a new contributor to Middle of the Map. Jessie Artigue. This local midwestern fashionista will be making an appearance from time to time to share style tips, and trends, that could help inspire some amazing outside the box fashion for your wedding day. Looking for a little extra something, or advice for your wedding day styling? Visit Jessie’s website to learn more about her consulting services.
With the lightning speed at which trends change these days, it seems inevitable that wedding trends would be somewhat transient as well. As a stylist, I generally recommend that brides err on the side of more classic choices, but every once in a while it is fun to daydream about a wedding that is styled completely around a theme or color. My column at Middle of the Map Weddings, is meant to encourage creativity and help you to think outside of the box, while still maintaining your own personal style and aesthetic in the choices you make for your big day.
The first trend I have been looking forward to exploring seems fitting for the tiny buds and breezy weather of early Spring. Bohemian style is not a new concept to the fashion world, and it is one that has seemed to pop up at least once a year for as long as I can remember. Check out the collections below for some of my favorite boho pieces that could add just the right amount of hippie chic to your wedding style.
